Welcome to Bengal Esophageal Meet (BEM) 2026

It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you to the Bengal Esophageal Meet (BEM)—a dedicated academic platform bringing together experts in Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology, Gastroenterology, Advanced Endoscopy, Medical Oncology and allied specialties.

The management of esophageal disease is rapidly evolving. From advanced endoscopy and organ-preserving strategies to minimally invasive and robotic surgery, precision oncology and multidisciplinary care, the boundaries of what we can achieve continue to expand.

BEM has been conceived as a forum for meaningful scientific exchange, open discussion and sharing of expertise. Through contemporary lectures, surgical and endoscopic video sessions, guideline updates, challenging case discussions and interactive debates, we hope to explore not only what we do today, but also where esophageal care is heading tomorrow.
